Occupancy Report Explained

The Occupancy report exists as a guide only as to how full the park is. Use it that way and you will be happy with it. If it is at 75% know that the park is busy, and you will probably not get the exact space you want. If the park is at 25% you will probably be a happy camper!

Because of technology limitations the report has to be run by very busy staff at varying intervals throughout the day. Do not expect it to be up to date to the minute. Please do not bother the staff at the front desk asking for updates as they will run them as and when they can. The staff cannot give you information on which sites are free either, as there is no way for them to know.

  • Occupied sites/RV’s: Indicates the percentage of available RV sites on the whole park that are being used by someone. This is statistically modified only when phases are closed to give a ‘Looks Like’ value. This Looks Like value indicates what the park occupancy would appear to be if you were looking for a space. For example, if  Phase 1 was closed, all the closed phase sites are unavailable making fewer overall available sites and therefore increasing the percentage occupied. In other words, the park would appear to be busier than it really is. Just remember a higher percentage, means less sites for you to select from.
  • Phase 1/2/3/4: Shows the individual phase’s percentage of RV sites used.
  • Occupied Rentals: The rental units in all phases, including the Yurts, that are occupied.
  • Occupied Tent Sites: The percentage of used tent sites.
  • Advanced: This button is only for advanced users and is only shown when one or more phases are closed. When this button is clicked it shows an additional figure under the occupied sites. This additional figure shows the occupied sites, including the closed phases. Why have the Advanced value as well then? Because, it gives a real picture of how busy the park is that can be compared with previously known values. Some people like that. If you don’t understand it then you probably don’t want to look at the value, so don’t click the button!

In all the above values closed sites, rentals, rental trailers and winter storage are ignored.

We understand that there may be better ways of phrasing titles and more or less information that is relevant. We also understand that whatever we do here will exasperate some and excite others. We believe we have struck a good balance with what we present and how we present it and do not plan on making regular updates to the format. There is only one member of staff that is able to discuss this information with you in any detail. Please don’t bother any other members of staff as they will not be able to help you. You can call Richard at the main TL number and use extension 235. However, please note that he will refer you back to this page for any explanation!
